Bauhaus has confirmed a gig at the O2 Academy Brixton in
London. The announcement comes after the band's first new music in 14 years,
'Drink New Wine,' was released in March.
Their next London show is on 19th August. The band also
recently announced their first US tour in over 16 years, which will include
headlining gigs in New York, Seattle, Portland, Denver and San
Francisco.
Bauhaus will perform with Morrissey and Blondie at the Cruel
World event. This year's event will be held in Brookside at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena,
California on 14th and 15th May. The Psychedelic Furs, Violent Femmes, Public
Image Ltd, Echo & The Bunnymen, Devo and others are among the acts on the
bill.
Their most recent song, 'Drink New Wine,' was composed during the lockdown using the Surrealist "exquisite corpse" approach, which involved the band trading audio files without hearing what their other bandmates had recorded.

Murphy and J toured the UK in 2018 for a series of gigs
honouring Bauhaus' 40th anniversary. The run ended in December with a show at
London's O2 Forum in Kentish Town.
Bauhaus released four studio albums after their debut 'In
The Flat Field' in 1980: 'Mask' (1981), 'The Sky's Gone Out' (1982), 'Burning
From The Inside' (1983) and 'Go Away White' (2008).
David J told NME after the release of their newest album
that the band's chemistry was so volatile during the recording process that
they chose to split up once more. He remarked that the record definitely feels
like a final statement.
