Ben Affleck Praises Ex Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Spectacular’ Performance in ‘Unstoppable’
Ben Affleck has been very complimentary of Jennifer Lopez’s performance in a recent movie that he co-produced. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Affleck, Cillian Murphy, and Matt Damon discussed their work on ‘Small Things Like These’ while talking about the upcoming wrestling biopic ‘Unstoppable’. Affleck and Damon co-produced the film through their firm, Artists Equity.
Lopez’s outstanding performance in ‘Unstoppable’ was highlighted by 52-year-old Affleck, who likened it to ‘Small Things Like These’ in terms of the collaborative commitment of gifted artists. He emphasized the stars Bobby Cannavale, Jharrel Jerome, and Don Cheadle, as well as the film’s director Billy Goldenberg’s passion. The film is based on the true tale of wrestler Anthony Robles, who won an NCAA national title in 2011 despite having only one leg at birth. The screenplay is based on Robles’ memoir, and Lopez plays Robles’ mother, Judy.

Affleck was proud of both projects and credited everyone’s intense emotional commitment to their accomplishment. Shortly after Lopez filed for divorce in August, ‘Unstoppable’ made its Toronto International Film Festival debut. While Affleck stayed in Los Angeles, Lopez and Damon represented the movie at the festival. Murphy is the lead and producer of ‘Small Things Like These’, which is based on Claire Keegan’s book.
Affleck ended by lauding the spirit of cooperation and sincere narrative that characterize both projects. On 6th December, ‘Unstoppable’ will be released in theatres, and on 8th November, ‘Small Things Like These’.
