Beyoncé Becomes the Most Nominated Artist in Grammy History
Beyoncé has officially made history as the most nominated artist in Grammy history. The pop icon received 11 nominations at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards for her recently released eighth studio album Cowboy Carter, including nods for Album of the Year and Best Country Album. The album’s single, ‘Texas Hold ‘Em,’ also garnered nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Previously tied with her husband, Jay-Z, at 88 nominations, Beyoncé now holds a total of 99 career nominations following the announcement of this year’s nominees.

In 2023, Beyoncé set the record for the most Grammy wins of all time, with 32 trophies to her name. Earlier this year, Jay-Z took a moment to call out the Recording Academy for overlooking Beyoncé in the Album of the Year category.
While accepting the Global Impact Award onstage at the 66th Grammy Awards, the rapper remarked that he didn’t want to embarrass the young lady, but noted that she holds more Grammys than anyone else yet has never won Album of the Year. He pointed out that, according to the Recording Academy’s own criteria, this didn’t make sense, emphasizing that the artist with the most Grammy wins had never been awarded the prestigious Album of the Year honour.
In other news, Pamela Anderson recently expressed her admiration for the singer after the musician paid tribute to Anderson and the iconic characters she’s portrayed in films and TV shows like Baywatch and Barb Wire in a new video.
