Beyoncé Becomes The Most RIAA-Certified Female Artist in History

Beyoncé has set another historic milestone, becoming the most RIAA-certified female artist of all time. On December 17, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced updated certifications for numerous Beyoncé releases, bringing her total certified titles to an impressive 103—more than any other female artist in history.

The achievement follows new certifications for her latest album, Cowboy Carter, which has been certified Platinum. Additionally, her hit singles ‘Texas Hold ’Em’ and ‘16 Carriages’ received 2x Platinum and Gold certifications, respectively. Her 2022 album Renaissance also earned a 2x Platinum certification.

Other notable updates include her iconic tracks ‘Crazy In Love’ (2003) and ‘Drunk In Love’ (2013), both collaborations with Jay-Z, now reaching 8x Platinum status. Beyoncé’s highest-certified singles remain ‘Halo’ and ‘Single Ladies,’ each achieving an extraordinary 11x Platinum certification.

This record-breaking moment adds to a string of accolades for Beyoncé, who recently became the most-nominated artist in Grammy history. After previously tying Jay-Z with 88 nominations each, her 11 nominations for Cowboy Carter at the upcoming Grammy Awards have pushed her total to an unmatched 99. In 2023, she also became the most-awarded artist in Grammy history with 32 wins.

Looking ahead, Beyoncé is set to headline the NFL’s Christmas Day Halftime Show, which will be streamed live on OTT. She will perform tracks from Cowboy Carter live for the first time during the highly anticipated event.
