Beyoncé Honours “Queen Linda Martell” for Her First Grammy Nomination Following ‘Cowboy Carter’ Collaboration

Beyoncé took to social media to congratulate “Queen Linda Martell” on her first Grammy nomination for her feature on ‘Cowboy Carter’. The pop superstar shared a photo of Martell on her official Instagram, celebrating her historic achievement as the first commercially successful Black female artist in country music and the first to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. The nomination comes for their collaboration on the track ‘Spaghetti’ from Beyoncé’s eighth studio album.

In addition to her feature on ‘Spaghetti,’ the trailblazing country artist also contributed a spoken-word segment on the track ‘The Linda Martell Show’ from the same album. Speaking to Billboard, Martell expressed how “very, very glad” she was to be featured on ‘Cowboy Carter’ and acknowledged the recognition Beyoncé has brought to her music.

Beyoncé earned 11 nominations at the 67th annual Grammy Awards for her album, including nods for Album of the Year and Best Country Album. The album’s single ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ also received nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

With a total of 99 Grammy nominations in her career, Beyoncé has made history as the most Grammy-nominated artist of all time. In 2023, she also set the record for the most Grammy wins, with 32 awards to her name.
