Billie Eilish ‘Broke The Spell’ Of Harry Styles Feeling Lost As A Young Artist

Harry Styles has spoken up about his transformation from an adolescent idol in a boyband to a solo singer, adding that he found relief in watching Billie Eilish handle her own meteoric climb to fame.

Styles sat down with Zane Lowe for a 78-minute talk about the album’s inception, touring and his creative process. He also spoke about his maturity as both an artist and a person away from the spotlight, ahead of the release of his highly anticipated third album, ‘Harry’s House,’ on 20th May. Styles spoke openly about his craft, comparing it to how he approached it in the early days of One Direction’s separation toward the end of the conversation.

He explained that he had a big moment when Billie Eilish first blew up and went on to say that, being in a band was fun and exciting because they were young and seeing her do all this at such a young age made him feel like he’s not a kid anymore.

Styles went on to claim that despite the fact that he and Eilish ran into each other a couple of times in recent years, he hasn’t informed her about how she inspires him personally. He said that he is thankful to her from afar. View Styles’ entire chat with Lowe below.

Styles opened up about the benefits of undergoing counselling for his mental health earlier this month, after originally being hesitant to do so. He admitted that he began counselling hesitantly about five years ago, believing that it ‘meant you were broken’ and that seeking assistance was a music industry cliche.

During his Coachella 2022 headline show, Styles unveiled two tunes from ‘Harry’s House.’ He debuted ‘Boyfriends’ and ‘Late Night Talking’ during his first weekend at the event, as well as giving his chart-topping track ‘As It Was’ its first live performance.

The musician also has a slew of major tour dates coming up, including ‘One Night Only’ shows in New York and London to promote ‘Harry’s House.’ From there, he’ll continue to the UK and Ireland leg of his world tour, where you can find any leftover tickets, before heading to North America in August. Fans in Australia and New Zealand will be able to see Styles perform in stadiums next February.
