Billie Eilish Clarifies Solo Tour Doesn’t Mark the End of Collaborating With Finneas

Billie Eilish has assured fans that she will continue collaborating with her brother and longtime creative partner, Finneas, even though he has been mostly absent from her current tour. Eilish is currently on the North American leg of her ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ world tour, marking the first time she’s performed without Finneas, who is busy promoting his second solo album, 'For Cryin’ Out Loud!'

Finneas recently shared that Eilish has been learning to handle home production on her own, saying, "she’s very good at it." In a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, it was mentioned that Finneas will join Eilish onstage whenever his schedule allows. He performed ‘Happier Than Ever’ with her during her show in Newark, New Jersey on 9th October.

When asked by the publication if Finneas' absence should imply anything significant, Eilish replied: “It’s really not the end of anything. You can’t be in two places at once.”

Finneas shared that they originally believed Eilish’s third and latest album, ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’, would be "the one where we bring in a lot of friends" for collaborations.

He continued: “Third album, you know, it’s like, How do you reinspire yourself? How do you reinvent the wheel? How do you keep it fresh? But it just didn’t end up shaking out that way.”

Eilish added: “Instead, we made the most autobiographical album we’ve ever made.”

Speaking to Guitar.com last month about Eilish beginning to record music by herself, Finneas said: “I’ve been giving her, like, the bare minimum of stuff, just so that she learns it all.

“I’m like, ‘Listen, I could give you all the stuff that I use now, but it took me years to even have a use for it. And, if I give you this basic thing, it’ll make sense to you right away’.”

Eilish previously expressed that she and Finneas had “never, ever, ever loved something more” than her latest album, adding, “We hope you enjoy it so much, and I’ll see you on the other side.”

The singer will be heading to the UK and Ireland next summer as part of the ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ tour, which includes six nights at London’s O2.

Meanwhile, Finneas has announced solo tour dates for 2025 in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Europe, and North America.
