Billie Eilish Might Produce Peggy Lee Biopic
It is always commendable when a celebrity branches out and decides to invest in an exciting project. Billie Eilish, her mother Maggie Baird and Darkroom founder/CEO Justin Lubliner are in talks to executive produce the upcoming Peggy Lee biopic, ‘Fever’, according to a news source.
The biopic will be directed by Todd Haynes and star Michelle Williams.
A Budding Producer/Director
Billie Eilish loves to prove to the world that singing is not her only talent. She has directed and produced a handful of her own music videos, but this would be her first production of a major feature film.
Justin Lubliner is an executive producer on Billie Eilish’s upcoming ‘Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry’ documentary out later this month. The CEO has stated before that helping to establish artists in film was among his team’s top priorities.
New Album In The Works
This does not mean that Billie Eilish is taking a break from her music. The singer is also working on her second album, the follow-up to her record-breaking debut album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”
She recently captioned an Instagram photo of herself in the studio, “almost done.” We cannot wait!
Last year, Billie Eilish, among other artists, participated in a pre-taped panel discussion celebrating Peggy Lee that was set to premiere on the Grammy Museum’s website on May 26th 2020, which is the centennial of her Peggy Lee’s birth in Jamestown, N.D. Lee was the first female artist to be nominated for a Grammy Award for ‘Record of the Year’, for her hit version of ‘Fever’. Peggy Lee has received a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy in 1995. In the same year she gave her final concert performances. Her songs ‘Fever’ and ‘Is That All There Is?’, have both been voted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Speaking of Grammys, Billie Eilish is a major Grammy winner, with over five wins last year.
