Billie Eilish has spoken out in praise of Greta Thunberg, the Swedish environmental activist, calling other older generations to take more action against climate change which is the need of the hour.
Eilish made headlines when she performed at the American Music Awards wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the slogan ‘NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET’ – showing her support for the environmental movement ‘Music Declares Emergency,’ the phrase adopted by the artist collective climate change group.
The singer has always been vocal about and talked about her stance on the environment and young global figurehead Greta Thunberg. She said,“Hopefully the adults and the old people start listening to us about climate change so that we don’t all die. Old people are gonna die and don’t really care if we die, but we don’t wanna die yet.”
Eilish recently opened up about her climate change fears in an interview and also spoke candidly about her frustrations at how people are not doing enough to stop climate change. She said that leading by example and spreading the message is what matters. Netizens definitely agree!
