Billie Eilish Teases “Fun” New Tracks
Billie Eilish recently shared snippets of two new songs during an interview, revealing that she has resumed making music. In a conversation with CBS News’ Anthony Mason, the singer discussed her extraordinary career, as well as the creative challenges she has faced, including doubts about her ability to produce new material. This interview follows the release of her third studio album, Hit Me Hard And Soft, which has been nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Eilish acknowledged her struggles with writer’s block, describing it as an uncomfortable and unsettling experience that never becomes easier to manage. She shared that it often leaves her feeling as though she might never create again.

Despite these challenges, Eilish confirmed that she has been working on new music with her brother and longtime collaborator, Finneas. During the interview, she gave viewers a glimpse of her backstage greenroom, where she had set up a portable recording studio. She explained that this setup, which includes a piano, travels with her everywhere. Eilish also previewed brief segments of two new tracks, describing the process of creating them as fun and lighthearted. She mentioned that she and Finneas had been focused on enjoying the experience of making music without taking it too seriously, adding that they had also been spending time crocheting.
The first song snippet featured Eilish’s vocals accompanied by piano, while the second included her characteristic breathy singing layered over a steady drumbeat.

Eilish’s album Hit Me Hard And Soft has earned her several Grammy nominations this year, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for Birds of a Feather, as well as Best Pop Solo Performance for the same track. Additional nominations include Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Guess (a collaboration with Charli XCX) and Best Dance Pop Recording for L’Amour De Ma Vie [Over Now Extended Edit]. Already a nine-time Grammy winner, Eilish expressed her astonishment and gratitude for the continued recognition from the Recording Academy.
Currently, Eilish is on the North American leg of her Hit Me Hard And Soft world tour. She is set to perform six shows at London’s O2 Arena during the UK and Ireland leg of the tour next summer..
In a separate development, Eilish referred to Rihanna as the “greatest of all time” and shared her desire to collaborate with the superstar in the future.
