Billie Joe Armstrong Announces Cover Album

On October 6th, 2020, Billie Joe Armstrong revealed the release of his brand new album. This latest album is called ‘No Fun Mondays’ and it consists of 14 tracks. Billie Joe has released several albums as the lead singer of Green Day., but this release is a completely new venture for him.

Billie Joe Armstrong has released several covers of famous tracks through the quarantine. These include tracks from the likes of John Lennon, Billy Bragg, and a whole lot more. The album is going to come out on November 27th, 2020. Along with the announcement of the release, he’s also put out the tracklist that will feature on the record.

Billie Joe Armstrong began releasing these covers on the Green Day official Youtube channel on March 23, 2020. The series of releases came forward with his rendition of Tiffany’s ‘I Think We’re Alone.’ Ever since then he’s regularly put out videos with the opening title of ‘Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day.’

The cover of ‘Manic Monday’ went on to become very popular among other covers. Additionally, this particular cover track features Susana Hoffs of The Bangles. The group originally had this hit in 1986. This cover not only gives us a great version of the record, but it also adds another superb layer to the already fantastic track. Kudos to Billie Joe Armstrong.
