Billy Joel Joins Forces With Axl Rose and John Mayer at LA Concert

Billy Joel recently reunited with his friends Axl Rose and John Mayer at a concert in Los Angeles. While playing at the Intuit Dome in LA on 12^th October, the Piano Man surprised the audience by inviting two special guests: John Mayer and Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose. Mayer was the first guest to join Joel, performing a rendition of ‘This is The Time.’ This marks only the second time they have performed this song together, with their first collaboration occurring in 2008.

Later in the concert, Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose took the stage alongside Billy Joel to perform a cover of Wings’ ‘Live and Let Die.’ In July, Joel celebrated his historic 150th and final show as part of his Madison Square Garden residency, where he also invited Axl Rose to perform several songs. Joel had been holding one show each month at the iconic venue since January 2014.

Late last month, Billy Joel announced two new live shows in the UK, which will be his only European tour dates for 2025. The two exclusive UK shows were announced just days after the ‘Piano Man’ took to social media to reveal a series of new tour dates across the United States in 2025, featuring support from Sting and Stevie Nicks.
