If true, BLACKPINK’s upcoming album will be the girl group’s first new music in almost a year and a half. Their most recent album, ‘THE ALBUM,’ was released in October 2020, along with the lead track ‘Lovesick Girls.’

Members Rosé and Lisa began solo careers in 2021, and their debut single albums were released in March and September, respectively. Meanwhile, vocalist Jisoo landed her first main part in Snowdrop, a historical romance K-drama.

Blinks (BLACKPINK’s official fans) expressed their displeasure with YG Entertainment’s choice to sell new items rather than music after the release of BLACKPINK’s ‘2022 Welcoming Collection’ in February.
