BLACKPINK x Ariana Grande: New Collaboration Alert

South Korean mega group, BLACKPINK, are all set to release a brand new single from their first ever full-length studio album. The news broke earlier today, and subsequently broke the internet. 

The group’s management, YG Entertainment, took to social media to share the first teaser poster of the upcoming single. And, this one is as cheeky of a tease as it gets. The retro, pop art themed poster doesn’t reveal a name or release date. In fact, it hints at a collaboration but gives no information as to who the featuring artist may be. 

But, if there’s one thing Blinks are good at, it’s connecting the dots. And, with the information at hand, the fandom is convinced that the upcoming single will be a collaboration with pop superstar, Ariana Grande. 

Following a vague trail of social media clues, the fandom began to trend BLACKPINK on Twitter, hoping to get a response, but to no avail. The reason for the theory? Well, Ariana Grande liked a post made by member, Jennie, sharing the teaser poster. This is the first time Grande has liked a post by any of the members. 

The teaser shows the four members of BLACKPINK – Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rose – dressed in summery outfits, giving off an entirely different vibe from their latest release, ‘How You LIke That’. And while we stay clued in for updates, the four member group continues to bask in the glory of their recent work. 

Following their recent release, the group has broken several records. As the numbers currently stand, BLACKPINK hold the record for the biggest 24 hour debut on YouTube, and are the highest charting Korean girl group on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 albums chart.
