BLACKPINK's 2025 Plans Include New Music and a World Tour, According to Label

K-pop quartet BLACKPINK is set to release new music and embark on a world tour next year, as confirmed by YG Entertainment.

Today, the agency announced BLACKPINK’s 2025 plans while celebrating a new viewership milestone for the girl group’s music video for ‘How You Like That.’

“In 2025, BLACKPINK plans to have a full group comeback and visit their fans on their world tour,” YG stated. This upcoming album will mark their first group release since September 2022, when they launched the studio album ‘Born Pink’.

Last December, YG Entertainment announced that the BLACKPINK members would continue as a group under the agency but had opted out of additional contracts for their solo activities. The members have spent most of 2024 pursuing individual projects, with Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa each establishing their own entertainment labels, while Rosé has signed with The Black Label.

Lisa was the first member to release new music following their departure from YG, dropping her single ‘Rockstar’ in June, followed by ‘New Woman’ featuring Rosalía. She also won the award for Best K-pop at the 2024 MTV VMAs earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Jennie’s label Odd Atelier has partnered with Columbia Records for her upcoming solo music, which may debut as soon as next month. In a recent interview, she mentioned that her debut album is in the works, describing it as her way of “bringing myself to the world for the first time.” Rosé has teased some of her solo music on Instagram and has an unreleased cover of Coldplay’s ‘Viva la Vida’ for the series Pachinko. However, both she and Jisoo have yet to announce their upcoming solo plans.
