BLACKPINK’s Jennie Stuns Everyone in Chanel For Her Debut Appearance at Cannes Film Festival

Jennie of BLACKPINK has made her official Cannes Film Festival debut. Much to the pleasure of Blinks everywhere, the K-pop sensation appeared on the red carpet at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in France. The 27-year-old arrived at the event in a tea-length couture gown by Chanel SS20 that had white lace and sheer black off-the-shoulder sleeves. Jennie kept her accessories to a minimum, dressing simply in delicate diamond rings on her hands and a black satin bow on her waves of hair.

However, the BLACKPINK rapper was joined on the red carpet by her fellow ‘The Idol’ cast members, including The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp, Hari Nef, Moses Sumney, and the show’s co-creator Sam Levinson. (As one of the festival’s four Out of Competition Selections, ‘The Idol’ made its debut there.)
Blinks gushed over Jennie and gave their thoughts on how she appeared for her Cannes debut, shortly after pictures and videos of her at Cannes surfaced online. One Blink member tweeted, “She’s beyond pretty, she looks heavenly,” while another referred to Jennie as “THE MAIN EVENT THE IT GIRL THE MOST GORGEOUS PERSON TO EXIST.”

Rosé made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival last week for the world premiere of the Japanese movie ‘Monster’, directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, making her one of BLACKPINK’s attendees this year in addition to Jennie.
