BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Makes it to the U.K. Top 40 Chart For The First Time With Her Single ‘Flower’

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has finally made it to the U.K. Top 40 chart with her single ‘Flower’! The song reached No. 38 on the latest Official U.K. Singles Chart, which made Jisoo the first member of the K-pop girl group to have a solo hit in the top 40. Her bandmate Rosé once peaked at No. 42 with ‘On The Ground’, but Lisa and Jennie have never made it to the list.

The band BLACKPINK has landed eight U.K. top singles so far including, ‘Kiss and Make Up’ with Dua Lipa, ‘Kill This Love’, ‘How You Like That’, ‘Ice Cream’ with Selena Gomez, ‘Lovesick Girls’, ‘Sour Candy’ with Lady Gaga, ‘Pink Venom’ and ‘Shut Down’. They previously made history by becoming the first female K-pop group to be crowned on the all-genres albums chart with ‘Born Pink’ which peaked at No. 1. Their debut ‘The Album’ also peaked at No. 2 in 2020.

‘Flower’ is climbing up the charts and is currently at No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts. This makes Jisoo the third member from the band to have hit the top 10 on each chart after Rosé and Lisa. The song made the third-biggest streaming start for an artist’s proper debut focus track since the global charts first came into place. ‘Flower’ is at No. 33 on the ARIA Chart in Australia. Rosé and Lisa have made it to the chart previously.
