BLACKPINK's Lisa Expresses Interest in Collaborating With Doja Cat

BLACKPINK rapper and solo artist Lisa has revealed her desire to collaborate with Doja Cat. In a recent interview with Audacy, the Thai singer-rapper discussed her recent solo releases and the artists she has worked with so far. Lisa mentioned that there are “a lot” of artists she hopes to collaborate with on her solo projects. 

But for now, the one that comes to mind is Doja Cat, she said.  She noted that she has already worked with many of her dream collaborators on her latest tracks. Doja Cat is definitely her next goal.

Lisa also reflected on her collaboration with Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía on their August single, New Woman. She praised Rosalía’s confidence during the music video shoot, saying that she’s amazing and a professional—every single take, she just does her thing. Lisa further admired how Rosalía stays true to her identity through her music and art, expressing her own desire to do the same: She wanted to be someone like her who can maintain her identity.

Additionally, Lisa spoke about sampling Sixpence None the Richer’s Kiss Me for her latest single, Moonlit Floor. She recalled the song from her childhood: When she was five or six, her dad always played it in the car, so she became familiar with that song.
