BLACKPINK’s Lisa Unveils New Song ‘Moonlit Floor’ at Global Citizen Fest
BLACKPINK’s Lisa premiered her new song ‘Moonlit Floor’ live at the Global Citizen Fest 2024, which features an interpolation of Sixpence None the Richer’s ‘Kiss Me.’ The K-pop star first teased the track on 25th September by sharing a brief TikTok video of herself performing Sixpence None the Richer’s iconic 1997 hit, now enhanced with a dance-pop backing track.
Fans initially speculated that she was hinting at a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, who recently covered the song during her ‘Short N’ Sweet’ headlining tour. However, during her co-headlining performance at the Global Citizen Festival on 28th September, she performed the track for the first time, and it did not include Carpenter.

Lisa interpolates the classic hit, tweaking the lyrics to “Kiss me, under the Paris twilight / Kiss me out on the moonlit floor,” from the original “Kiss me beneath the milky twilight/ Lead me out on the moonlit floor,” to fit with the new song’s story about a “green-eyed French boy”.

In other news, Lisa is scheduled to perform at this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show, marking the event’s return after a six-year hiatus. Other artists set to perform include music icon Cher and South African singer Tyla.
This year, the K-pop star released two solo singles: ‘Rockstar’ and ‘New Woman,’ featuring Rosalía. These tracks come three years after her solo debut with ‘Lalisa’ in 2021.
Additionally, she is set to make her television debut in the upcoming third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, which will take place in her home country of Thailand. “I feel like people are going to fall in love with Thailand even more,” she hinted in an interview earlier this year.
