Blake Lively’s ‘It Ends With Us’ Surpasses ‘Green Lantern’ as Her Highest-Grossing Film
Blake Lively has achieved a significant career milestone with the success of ‘It Ends With Us’. The romantic drama has become her highest-grossing film to date, earning over $242 million worldwide since its release, as reported by Deadline.
This impressive total surpasses Lively’s previous top earner, ‘The Green Lantern’, which she starred in alongside her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in 2011. ‘The Green Lantern’ grossed just over $237 million at the box office.
Notably, this milestone doesn’t include Lively’s brief cameo in Reynolds’ recent Marvel hit ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, which set the record as the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever.

Lively, who celebrated her 37th birthday just recently, expressed her gratitude to fans for supporting the film. Just days after ‘It Ends With Us’ premiered, she took to Instagram Stories to thank everyone who watched the movie, highlighting its focus on the female experience. She shared her pride in the film and the importance of its message, saying, “Thank you all for embracing ‘It Ends With Us’ with the same love, pain, and joy we had sharing it with you all.”
In ‘It Ends With Us’, Lively plays Lily Bloom, a woman whose relationship with Ryle Kinkaid (portrayed by director and co-star Justin Baldoni) becomes abusive, leading her to make the difficult decision to leave.

The film’s release was accompanied by controversy, with rumours of creative differences between Lively and Baldoni. Despite these rumours, the cast has encouraged fans to focus on the film’s message rather than any behind-the-scenes drama. Co-star Brandon Sklenar, who plays Lily’s love interest Atlas, urged fans on Instagram to avoid vilifying the women involved in the film, emphasizing their collective responsibility to address themes of generational trauma, domestic abuse, and self-love.
