The BRIT Awards have released information about their upcoming event, which will be held on a Saturday for the first time.
For the 30th consecutive year, the party will take place on 11th February at the O2 Arena and broadcast on ITV. According to the announcement made by the award’s organisers, the Managing Director of Atlantic Records, Damian Christian will be taking over as Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2023.
This year’s event had its lowest overnight viewership ever with 2.7 million viewers! It was down from 2.9 million for the event in 2021, but this number does not include viewers who watched it digitally around the world on YouTube or the catch-up service ITV Hub.
Adele, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz, Dave, Liam Gallagher, Sam Fender and a surprise visit by Bring Me The Horizon, all performed at this year’s festival.
Adele took up three prizes, including the coveted ‘Album Of The Year’ honour for her fourth studio album, ‘30,’ making her the night’s big winner.
