BTS Are Back in School; Pursue Masters in Media

BTS are back in school

As if pop domination isn’t time consuming enough, BTS are reportedly going back to school. Earlier today, Korean media reports revealed an exclusive scoop. The statements read that all members of the septet, except for Jungkook (the youngest), have enrolled into the Hanyang Graduate School.

The news immediately had fans questioning the group’s time management techniques. Other facts that emerged amid all the online banter, were about the programme itself. BTS are all pursuing a Masters in Business Administration, specialising in “Advertising Media”. According to news reports Jin (the oldest of the group) enrolled in 2017, and is currently on a break. Other members, SUGA, RM and J Hope enrolled in the first semester of 2020, while V and Jimin entered in the second semester of 2020.

BTS’ Military Enlistment

Reports about the enrolment have further brought up questions about the group’s mandatory military enlistment. Netizens speculated that the enrolment may have been to postpone their enlistment. However, that was immediately cleared up by BigHit Labels, reassuring fans that BTS are simply very keen on pursuing the masters programme and understanding the industry. Given their status and magnanimity in South Korea, the matter of their conscription has been widely talked about and dissected, sometimes unfavourably.

While the other members continue to pursue the masters programme, Jungkook of BTS is currently a student at the Global Cyber University, majoring in Entertainment and Broadcasting.

Other News

In other news, J Hope recently made headlines for taking to Twitter to show his support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

The rapper shared a photo set late yesterday, showcasing the latest addition to his KAWS figurine collection. This figurine is limited edition, the proceeds of which go towards the Black Lives Matter movement.

In chart news, “Map of the Soul: 7” by BTS finds its way at the top of the Billboard World Albums Chart yet again. This marks its 15th total week at No. 1 on the chart. Pop domination sounds about right.
