BTS' Jungkook Appears to Show Support For NewJeans

BTS member Jungkook has seemingly shown his support for K-pop girl group NewJeans in recent Instagram posts amid the ongoing feud between HYBE and ADOR.

On 14^th September, Jungkook shared two posts featuring his dog on Instagram, with captions that fans believe refer to NewJeans. The first post included five hearts in different colours along with the phrase, "Artists are not guilty." Fans quickly speculated that the heart colours matched the official colours representing each member of NewJeans. Later that day, Jungkook uploaded another post with the simple message: "Don't use them."

In response to the growing speculation, Jungkook's label, Big Hit Music, issued a statement via MyDaily the same day. The statement clarified the meaning behind Jungkook's posts, though it did not specifically address the ADOR-HYBE conflict or mention NewJeans directly.

“We have confirmed that he made the posts because he thought that under no circumstances should young artists be dragged into conflicts or used as a shield,” the statement read, as translated by Soompi.

Jungkook's posts come just three days after NewJeans made a surprise YouTube livestream on 11^th September, urging HYBE to reinstate former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin. The group stated that the livestream was done without the agency’s prior knowledge.

“We hope that HYBE makes the wise choice to reinstate Min Hee-jin as the CEO of ADOR by September 25,” said Minji. “The ADOR that we want is an ADOR where the music production and company management are done by Min Hee-jin as the CEO. We make this request as the way to cohabitate peacefully with HYBE.”

Earlier this month, NewJeans also voiced support for Min Hee-jin during their acceptance speech at The Fact Music Awards, and prior to that, three members expressed frustration over the HYBE-ADOR dispute through online posts.
