BTS’ Jungkook Sets Hearts Racing with ‘10,000 Hours’ Cover

As BTS gears up to drop their new all-English single in August, it appears that they’ve also left a trail of breadcrumbs in the lead up to this release. And on that trail, the youngest member of the band, Jungkook, just treated his fans to a brand new cover.

The 22-year-old put up a syrupy-sweet rendition of Dan and Shay’s breakthrough hit, ‘10,000 Hours’ on Soundcloud. He even took to Twitter to share the link with a caption that read, ‘10,000 Hours Repeat.’

Jungkook settles into this cover with confident ease. This version of ‘10,000 Hours’ witnesses the young star’s familiar melodic runs and airy vocals as he croons:

I’d spend ten thousand hours and ten thousand more
Oh, if that’s what it takes to learn that sweet heart of yours
And I might never get there, but I’m gonna try
If it’s ten thousand hours or the rest of my life

When BTS isn’t wowing the world with new releases, Jungkook often sets aside some time to take a stab at different covers. His steadily growing list features renditions of songs like, ‘Purpose,’ ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore,’ ‘Fools‘ and a string of other mellow tunes.

BTS Dishes Out Details on New Single

Now, making our way back to the band’s upcoming single, it’s slated to drop on August 21st. And speaking of the tune itself, the septet revealed that, “The song is upbeat and sung in English, just like ‘MIC Drop’ and ‘Waste It on Me’. We thought that the song sounded perfect as it is in English. We recorded the guide version and felt that the result was something totally new and fresh.” This single will find its space on the BTS’ next album which will arrive in the latter half of 2020. The boys decided to release this single in advance “because we wanted to reach our fans as soon as possible.”

And BTS being BTS, have clearly also decided to keep us thoroughly entertained during this wait as well.
