Burna Boy Takes A Stand At BET Hip Hop Awards

Burna Boy, along with Chris Martin spoke loud and clear with their performance at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards. The Nigerian artist performed his single, ‘Monsters You Made’ with his fellow mate with shirts that read, #StopPoliceBrutality.

The politically charged performance took place with people in the protests. Not only that, towards the end of the act, Burna Boy asked people to stand up for the same and end police brutality. Chris Martin and him had their fists up in the air to show support. Along with that, there was a list of Nigerians who lost their lives in the hands of SARS.

Burna Boy: ‘Monsters You Made’

The track, ‘Monsters You Made’ is from the latest studio album of Burna Boy, “Twice as Tall”. The album also has many big names which feature on it, Stormzy, Naughty By Nature, Youssou N’Dour and more. And, the album has been quite generous for him.

One could really learn from Burna Boy and Chris Martin, despite things cooling down about the agenda, lately, they’ve not stopped to show their support. We really hope the music world continues to speak out for justice in such big events, world needs it.
