Cabello’s ‘Living Proof’ of Genius!

“Living Proof” is the latest single from pop-star Camilla Cabello’s second album ‘Romance’, slated for release on the 6th of December, and already has a 26-date North American tour set to kick off on July 29. The Grammy nominated artist has released 6 singles this year alone. Cabello co-wrote “Living Proof” with Justin Tranter, Alli Tamposi and Mattman & Robin, the ‘Holy Trinity’ to hit-making, if we may.

The music video for the single brings to life a surrealistic and dreamy landscape, with an ethereal glow shining bright on Camilla as she floats around in a pool full of flowers. In the video, she serenades her lover surrounded by silk clad dancers. The Alan Ferguson-directed “Living Proof” has successfully created a Renaissance-like romance in a time where everyone is bombarded by the blue glow of the screens around them.

Cabello posted a clip on Instagram, with the caption – “It really is just images that capture, to me, just like this very divine energy. The song is really about just being intimate with the person you’re in love with and how beautiful and divine and otherworldly that can feel.” All that effort in creating the right imagery worked because fans have fallen in love with the spiritual references and the chorus in the piece.

Camilla, who is known for her stellar vocals and expansive range, nails an unusually high pitch in the song; not a first from the powerhouse vocalist, but definitely still impressive. Announcing the album, Camila mentioned that she wanted “this album to sound like what falling in love feels like.”

Well, so far, she has done a good job at keeping that promise!
