Camila Cabello On Her Engagement Rumors

If you are one of those people who went squealing in excitement and texting all your friends after you spotted Camila’s ‘Engagement ring’ on a recent Tik Tok video, we’re very sorry to break your bubble as the singer is not getting hitched, just as yet.

When the Seniorita singer recently took to her social media to share a Tik Tok video of herself doing a workout, it was a diamond ring on her finger that caught the attention of all her fans and had them replaying the clip several times. It really was, a very misleading moment.

Camila however sat down for an interview with Jimmy Fallon for The Tonight Show where she was straight-up asked about the engagement rumors, “Did Shawn Mendes ask you to marry him?” There was a split second of anxiety and hope in the air as everybody waited for the singer to confirm but she responded with ” He has not and I’m not engaged”. Ouch.

“I just, I swear to God, I don’t know what hand the engagement ring goes on, so sometimes I’ll just put it on my ring finger. I mean, I’d actually like you to enlighten me. Which hand is the engagement hand? Because I don’t know. My parents are married and they both lost their rings, and so literally my mom couldn’t tell me either.” she further explained.

Back in 2020, Shawn Mendes had also been asked about the couple’s future plans and if a wedding was soon on the cards, to which he replied, “Yeah, absolutely, I think for me it’s always been if I’m not willing to talk about that stuff then I kind of check out a little bit, and I don’t know, I really think when you know, you know. She’s been one of my best friends since I was, like, 15 years old. I don’t know, at the same time, I know we are really young so I don’t want to jump, like, insanely fast, but I think when you find your person, you feel and you know that you have found your person.”

Its alright, there’s no need to despair.There’s still time for the wedding bells to ring.
