Cardi B Pays Tribute to The “Beautiful Soul” Takeoff!

After a guy accused of shooting the Migos rapper was charged with the crime last week, Cardi B paid tribute to Takeoff, who was tragically shot on 1st November in Houston.

The following week, the rapper’s funeral was held at the 21,000-seat State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, where Cardi gave a speech.

“I am heartbroken but I am grateful for all the precious memories we got to share while you were here with us. This has truly been a nightmare and the pain is incomparable,” Cardi B stated in an Instagram post at the time of the incident.

The rapper and singer has now paid a new tribute to Takeoff , writing alongside a photo of the late musician in her Instagram Story: “Protect your brothers and your family. I know you see the tears I know you see them looking at the sky asking why… What a beautiful soul to take.”

According to court documents, the man accused of fatally shooting the rapper from the group Migos was indicted last week on a m-rder charge. Patrick Xavier Clark was free on a $1 million (£810,000) bond when a grand jury in Houston indicted him recently.

Cardi B shared that she was “just so scared” and “crying so much” when she and Offset first learned of Takeoff’s passing. Offset also admitted this month that since Takeoff’s passing last year, talking about him has been “hard” for him.

“I’ve never talked about this stuff. Seriously. Talking about Take is hard, man… That s**t hurts,” he declared. “Like, it’s gonna put me in a mood, and I don’t want to get in that mood. Some things I don’t never tell nobody.”

Offset also discussed the highly anticipated ‘Father of 4’ follow-up album, which will feature Chloe Bailey, Latto, Cardi B, Travis Scott, Future and Takeoff.

Offset wrote a heartbreaking eulogy for the rapper after Takeoff passed away, saying: “The pain you have left me with is unbearable. My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare.”
