Cardi B Teases Remix of Ice Spice’s ‘Munch (Feelin’ U)’ But Claims it Won’t be Released

Cardi B teased fans with a preview of a track she doesn’t intend to release, featuring her verse from a remix of ‘Munch (Feelin’ U)’ by fellow New York rapper Ice Spice. She shared the sizzling teaser with a phone-shot music video on her Instagram.

Despite lots of praise from fans for Cardi’s verse, the rapper went on to say that the whole remix will not be made available. She stated in a tweet: “I’m not putting that song out by the way. You know I don’t tease.”

Cardi said, “I like it [but] don’t love it,” when asked why that was the case, adding that she was “just having fun” with her verse.

When ‘Munch (Feelin’ U)’ was first made available in August, Drake’s shout-out made it particularly popular. After the song went viral on TikTok and Instagram, Ice Spice (real name Isis Gaston) entered the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart at Number 5 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at Number 34.

Cardi is presently working on her upcoming second album, which has not yet been formally announced but is anticipated to drop before the end of the year. The mega-hit ‘WAP’ by Megan Thee Stallion, ‘Up’ from the previous year, ‘Hot S**t’ with Ye and Lil Durk and ‘Tomorrow 2’ by GloRilla are all included.

The album’s official release date hasn’t been made public, but Cardi said in May that it will happen this year. She gave the reason for the lengthy delay between the record and her 2018 debut, ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ as ‘technical issues’.

Cardi stated last month that she was unwilling to accept a ‘multi-million dollar’ agreement she had on the table with Activision, the company that publishes Call of Duty, because of a recent legal dispute she was involved in.
