Cardi B Walks Into 2023 Singing Fall Out Boy’s ‘Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down’

Cardi B performed at Miami nightclub for the New Year, where just when the clock struck 12, she briefly sang Fall Out Boy’s ‘Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down’.

“Cardi B singing Fall Out Boy first thing after midnight on New Year’s Day is exactly how I wanted to start my year,” stated a fan who saw her perform live in Miami.

“Anything you wanna hear / ’cause that’s just who I am this week,” Cardi sang on-stage with her husband Offset.

Fall Out Boy have made it to the news because of the new projects that they have been teasing. In November 2022, they announced the confirmation of their eighth album in a newspaper ad in Chicago Tribune. They also sent their fans some cryptic postcards, released a claymation video with a snippet of the new music and launched a new website. Apart from this, they also sent their fans an email on New Year’s Day informing them that the album will be released in 2023. They wrote, “We spent the last year jamming ideas in a tiny room [and] can’t wait to share them with you.”

Cardi B is also all set for the year 2023. She is working on the follow-up to her 2018 album ‘Invasion of Privacy’. The release dates are yet to be determined, but three singles from the record have already been released. These singles include her song ‘WAP’ with Megan Thee Stallion’s, ‘Up’ and ‘Hot S**t’ which was assisted by Ye and Lil Durk. She ended her year with a bang too, with a new remix of Rosalía’s ‘Despechá’.
