Cardi B Wins A $30 Million Lawsuit Against Raphael

Cardi B has finally settled things with her former manager, Klenord “Shaft” Raphael after nearly two and a half years. How did it take so long and what caused it to happen? Well, we’ll tell you.

According to the documents submitted in the court on 24th of December, clearly stated that the lawsuit is dismissed. “Hereby dismissed in its entirety with prejudice against all parties…the parties have further agreed that all parties to this action shall bear their own costs and attorney’s fees.”

Where Did It Start?

In 2018, precisely in April, the ex-manager, Raphael sued Cardi B for $10 million. God! That’s a lot of money. The lawsuit came forward as he felt that he has been “frozen” out of her career, all of a sudden.

Over the years, Klenord has played a very “integral role in developing her music career and public image”. And, all of this was just unseen by the ‘WAP’ rapper when she switched from Raphael’s KSR Group to Solid Foundation in March 2018.

Cardi B Sues Back!

During July of 2019, Cardi B decided to revert back to Raphael with a lawsuit as well. And, this time the money at stack was way higher, $30 million. The countersuit claimed that Shaft applied “barriers between the singer and people close to her in an effort to maintain complete control over her”. Also, that he ordered, “who she should and should not see romantically”. Along with these claims, she also called him “disloyal, deceitful, self-serving and controlling”.

With just one comment from Cardi B and nothing from Raphael, one can only expect that the matter is shut for good. The rapper anyway is too busy celebrating the holidays, making chart-breaking music and speaking time with her daughter, to care to comment on this. And, somehow, we’re glad about that.
