Tina Turner created history in many ways, being the first black female artist to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stones. Rightly named the Queen of Rock and Roll, Turner was also one of the few artists who have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. Refusing to fit into the standards of youth that Rock focused on at the time, she created a new 70s retro style, making the genre thoroughly her own. She rebranded herself and had one of the most unbelievable comebacks in music history. In fact, Tina Turner had inadvertently created the very concept of a comeback.
