Chappell Roan appears to be hinting at her much-anticipated second album. In a new Instagram post, she seems to reference Love Island, sparking excitement about her next project. The carousel post includes a shot of her holding her debut album, ‘The Rise And Fall of a Midwest Princess’, and another of her holding a microphone, possibly in a recording studio.
Hints of the upcoming album have surfaced before. On October 24, producer Dan Nigro shared that he’s been collaborating with Roan in the studio, where they recorded five tracks together, describing it as a “new version of Chappell.” One of the songs will feature a fiddle, and fans can look forward to a mix of sounds, including a “fun, up-tempo country song,” a few ballads, and a “mid-tempo rock song.”

Fans speculate that ‘Subway’, a song Roan performed at Governor’s Ball, could make it onto the album. Although she enjoys performing the track, Roan shared that it likely won’t be released as a single.
Roan’s debut album, The Rise And Fall of a Midwest Princess, was widely praised upon its release in September last year. Nearly a year later, it reached the top of the UK album chart—a milestone for which Elton John personally congratulated her.
