Charli XCX will be showing off to the world, her new alt-pop girl band – “Nasty Cherry” that she put together earlier this year, on a Netflix Documentary series, called “I’m With the Band: Nasty Cherry”. The series is set to release on November 15th this year.
In the trailer, XCX and the four new members of the girl band (Gabbriette Bechtel, Chloe Chaidez, Georgia Somary and Debbie Knox-Hewson) are seen working at their studio, rehearsing and relaxing during their downtime.
Charli refers to the group as “unashamedly real and also badass” as the band’s tracks “Music With Your Dad” and “Win” plays in the background. The band began releasing singles over the past few months under Charli’s label ‘Vroom Vroom.’
The docuseries is to be a six-part series which “follows the band as they navigate a new age of music, making up their own rules as they go and blowing up Instagram feeds in the process,” according to the band’s reps.
The band is set to release their debut EP this November. Having performed in sold out shows we can definitely expect great things from the new alt-pop band.
