Dua Lipa delivered acoustic renditions of four tracks from Radical Optimism for NPR’s Tiny Desk series last week. On 25th October, she performed intimate versions of ‘Training Season,’ ‘These Walls,’ ‘Happy For You’ and ‘Houdini’ accompanied by soft piano, acoustic guitar, and glockenspiel. Occasionally, Lipa picked up the tempo, adding electric guitar and backing vocalists, but it was the intimate setting that made this session unique.
Lipa noted that she had “never” performed an acoustic version of ‘Happy For You’ before.
She said that she has always enjoyed watching Tiny Desk performances and admires how artists reimagine their music, describing it as “really inspiring.” She shared this before introducing the final track, ‘Houdini.’
In other news, Lipa’s special one-off concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall is set to air on ITV later this year. The show featured a guest appearance by Elton John and saw Lipa perform alongside the 43-piece Heritage Orchestra, a 14-member choir, and a seven-piece band.

That show marked her first UK performance since her highly praised headline set at Glastonbury 2024 in June.
Lipa is set to perform at major stadium shows across the UK and Ireland next summer. Additionally, she collaborated with Cher for a performance of ‘Believe’ during Cher’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony in Cleveland on 19th October.
