Following the announcement of 54 of the show's 62 winners on 15th May, Olivia Rodrigo and Ye lead the winners at the Billboard Music Awards 2022.
The majority of the prizes were given out through a TikTok livestream, with the remaining winners being announced at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Rodrigo and West are
currently equal for six BBMA awards, with the 'Sour' singer taking home Top New
Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, and other honours. Meanwhile, West won awards for
'Donda,' including Top Christian Artist, Top Gospel Artist, Top Christian Album
and Top Gospel Album.
The Weeknd had the most nominations (17) going into the ceremony, followed by Doja Cat with 14. With 13 categories each, West, Rodrigo, and Justin Bieber were close behind.

Ed Sheeran, Silk Sonic, Mary J. Blige, Burna Boy, Megan Thee Stallion, Florence + The Machine and Machine Gun Kelly will perform at the BBMAs 2022, which will be hosted by Diddy. Morgan Wallen will also attend despite being barred from the 2021 ceremony after a video of him shouting a racial slur appeared online.

Travis Scott will
also take the stage, marking his first significant public performance since the
tragic crowd crush at last year's Astroworld festival. According to a recent
complaint, the tragedy killed ten people and injured countless more.
