Check Out Troye Sivan and Gordi’s New Track ‘Wait’

Troye Sivan has collaborated with Gordi, a fellow Australian singer-songwriter, on the song ‘Wait’. Sivan and Gordi trade verses on the dazzling, nostalgic pop track before harmonising on the pre-chorus and refrain, singing: “One thing I am sure of, for you I’ll wait.”

‘Wait’ is from the soundtrack of the new film, ‘Three Months’ which was released on 23rd February. Jared Frieder wrote and directed the coming-of-age film, which stars Sivan as Caleb, a South Florida teenager who “finds love in the most unlikely of places” while waiting three months for HIV test results after being exposed to the virus.

Reza Fahim and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson co-wrote and executive produced the show, which follows a pop artist who starts dating a cult leader. Sivan’s first new music this year is ‘Wait’ and ‘Trouble.’ The artist released the single ‘Angel Baby’ in 2021, as well as a full version of ‘Could Cry Just Thinking About You,’ an earlier version of which featured on his 2020 EP ‘In a Dream.’ On ‘You,’ he partnered with Tate McRae and DJ Regard.

Sivan’s last album, ‘Bloom’, arrived back in 2018. In a five-star review, NME praised ‘Bloom’ for “[managing] to tear away away all the filters”, noting the “tender sort of honesty to the whole album”.

“Sivan has created an album that does away with any apology; instead it sees him seize happiness with both hands.”
