Chloe Bailey had received pointers on her debut album from the most-awarded artist in Grammy history! She revealed at the premiere of her new movie ‘Praise This’ that Beyoncé listened to her album ‘In Pieces’ before its release and gave her constructive criticism about the same.
“Yes, I know she listened to the album,” Bailey said when asked if Beyoncé heard her album. “She gave me notes on it before I released it.”
“I love her so much,” Bailey continued. “Dearly, dearly, and I’m so grateful to her for everything.”
Bailey has been friends with Beyoncé for years ever since the former started getting mentored by Bey in 2015. This was after the Ivy Park founder took notice of Chloe and her sister, Halle Bailey when they covered ‘Pretty Hurts’ by ‘Beyoncé’. Halle Bailey has also starred in ‘Little Mermaid’. Beyoncé later signed the sister to her Parkwood Entertainment management company.
She even presented the duo with the Rising Star Award at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, where she told them that she was “so proud” of them.
“You’ve done this with authenticity, with grace, with raw talent, and you manage to shine in every room you enter, and I’ll always love you,” Bey said. Chloe x Halle have released three LPs ever since including ‘The Two of Us’, ‘The Kids Are Alright’ and ‘Ungodly Hour’. The elder Bailey sister kicked off a solo career with her 2021 debut single ‘Have Mercy.’
Bailey also spoke about how she felt after the release of the album. “I was so nervous, and now I just feel at peace,” she confessed. “I’m so happy it’s out. I got to say everything I wanted to say, and I hope people get an insight more into who Chloe is.”
