Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson Share Tips for This Year’s Sexiest Man Alive

Former Sexiest Man Alive winners Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson have offered some lighthearted guidance for the next title holder. Two actors who have previously held titles gave amusing and lighthearted advice for this year’s Sexiest Man Alive in an exclusive interview while promotionally promoting their new film ‘Red One’ in Berlin.

Johnson, the 2016 winner, joked that the next honoree would have “good luck following us!” Evans, the 2022 winner, smiled and added, “Just wrap it up,” implying that no one could surpass their reign. Reluctant to relinquish his title, Johnson jokingly referred to it as a “perpetual” distinction while giving more practical counsel: to relish the moment and recognize the good fortune that accompanies such acclaim.

Conversely, Evans advised the new champion to “live it up” because the moment doesn’t last long. Thinking back on his own experience, he made a joke about how life always goes “downhill” after winning the title of Sexiest Man Alive, pointing out how everyone eventually catches up with time, crow’s feet and all.

Evans had previously talked about how the title came at a pivotal moment in his life when he was putting his family above his business, saying that his mother would be overjoyed when he was crowned Sexiest Man Alive. After being married to actress Alba Baptista, he declared his intention to settle down, emphasising that fatherhood and family were now his top priorities.

Being crowned Sexiest Man Alive was a significant accomplishment for Johnson, demonstrating his progress. He recalled his challenging upbringing and considered how amazing it was to shoot his Sexiest Man Alive feature in Hawaii, where he had previously experienced adversity.

In their most recent movie, ‘Red One’, Johnson and Evans co-star in an action-adventure with a Christmas theme. Johnson plays security chief Callum Drift, while Evans plays bounty hunter Jack O’Malley, who is out to rescue Christmas. On 15th November, ‘Red One’ opens in theatres.
