Chris Hemsworth is known for his charm, but it might soon soar to new heights. The ‘Thor’ actor is reportedly negotiating to play one of Disney’s most iconic characters, Prince Charming, in a new live-action film. Deadline claims that despite not having signed on yet, Hemsworth is negotiating for the position.
The movie would be the most recent in Disney’s growing collection of live-action adaptations of its cherished animated films. This one will not be directly tied to ‘Cinderella’, even though it focuses on the prince who becomes renowned as a result of the story. The film will be directed and co-written by British filmmaker Paul King, who is best known for ‘Paddington’, ‘Paddington 2’, and the upcoming ‘Wonka’, in addition to Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker, with whom he collaborated on ‘Paddington 2’.

Hemsworth has been occupied with a number of well-known activities. He is now portraying Orion Pax, the future Optimus Prime, in the animated ‘Transformers One’, and was highly praised for his performance as Dementus in George Miller’s ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’.
A live-action part in a possible Transformers/G.I. Joe’s crossover film and a leading role in Bart Layton’s ‘Crime 101’, in which he will appear alongside Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo, and Barry Keoghan, are among his next projects. In addition, he is returning for Netflix’s ‘Extraction 3’, which is slated to be filmed next year. He will also feature in Jonathan Tropper’s sci-fi adventure ‘The Corsair Code’ and Matthew Vaughn’s action comedy ‘Stuntnuts’. Naturally, Hemsworth is still open to playing Thor again in upcoming Marvel films beyond ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.

Disney has a number of other live-action adaptations planned, such as ‘Snow White’ and ‘Lilo & Stitch’, which are scheduled for release next year, and ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, which will be released this Christmas. ‘Moana’, ‘Hercules’, ‘Robin Hood’, ‘The Aristocats’, and ‘Bambi’ are among the next projects. ‘Prince Charming’ is still in development, and there is currently no set release date.
