Chris Hemsworth Reveals the Hollywood Icon Who Intimidated Him

Despite his extensive filmography, Chris Hemsworth was anxious about his most recent job.  He said that it was scary to work with Halle Berry for the first time on ‘Crime 101’ during Amazon MGM Studios' presentation at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas.  After years of admiring her work, he struggled to concentrate throughout their sequences without being amazed by her performance.  But Berry rapidly put him at ease on set, fostering an atmosphere that allowed him to do new things and explore concepts.

Berry praised Hemsworth as well, referring to him as one of her new favorite people.  She revealed that he defended her in a moment on set, which made an effect and solidified her respect for him.  The praise was heartily returned by Hemsworth.

Berry plays an insurance broker in ‘Crime 101’ who gets caught up in a high-stakes jewel theft headed by expert burglar Davis, played by Hemsworth.  Davis is being pursued by an LAPD investigator played by Mark Ruffalo.

Hemsworth recently thought back to a previous embarrassing celebrity interaction.  He acknowledged that he regretted asking Billie Eilish for a selfie at the 2025 Oscars during an interview on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’.  He was apprehensive, but he and his wife, Elsa Pataky, knew their kids would be thrilled, so they shot the picture for them.  But after taking it, he realized that he was now just another fan and no longer a fellow industry worker.  He also joked that he would never be best friends with Eilish.
