Chris Martin Stuns Dublin With Surprise Street Performance Amid Coldplay World Tour

Ahead of Coldplay’s first of four concerts in Dublin, lead vocalist Chris Martin surprised fans with an impromptu performance on Grafton Street. The unexpected appearance saw Martin joined by Nigerian singer Burna Boy, English rapper Little Simz, Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna, and Argentine singer Tini for a live rendition of their new song ‘WE PRAY’.

The track, which features all these artists, had recently been released, adding to the excitement of the spontaneous event. The group took to the streets with just a speaker and a few microphones, captivating onlookers as they performed their parts while the crowd eagerly filmed the moment.

Footage shared on Coldplay’s social media accounts captured Burna Boy singing a poignant verse,

“On my knees, I pray, as I sleep and wake / ‘Cause inside my head is a frightening place,” as the crowd cheered. The atmosphere was electric, with fans surrounding the group and even leaning out of windows to catch a glimpse of the star-studded performance.

The video also shows the artists smiling, dancing, and sharing a joyful connection as they entertained the gathered crowd. Before the performance, Martin was seen giving the group a pep talk, creating a sense of camaraderie and excitement.

The moment was capped off with the Coldplay frontman’s reassuring words, “That’s all,” followed by an encouraging shout from someone off-camera, “You’re gonna be amazing, guys!”

This surprise performance was a prelude to Coldplay’s ongoing A Head Full of Dreams Tour. With four shows lined up at Dublin’s Croke Park, the band is set for a nearly two-month break afterward, during which their highly anticipated album Moon Music is scheduled for release.
