Christina Aguilera Gets Personal During Instagram Take Over

Here’s the most exciting thing that went down on Mother’s Day:  Christina Aguilera took over Billboard’s Instagram stories to show off the gifts her kids gave her. Now, isn’t that just adorable??

The gifts included a ton of Mother’s Day cards and her daughter singing to her. “Wishing all you fabulous, amazing, incredible, hardworking, loving mothers the best day every day. Happy Mother’s Day,” she said to the camera.

Aguilera took her time on stories, giving fans a glimpse into her home life. She gave the viewers a little tour of her house, with her kids, Max and Summer making special appearances.  

With all musician moms, there’s no doubting that their kids will inherit some of this talent. Or the fact that, some of them, like Jennifer Lopez actually practice vocal exercises with her kids. Christina Aguilera did the same with her daughter. The little one’s attempt turned out to be more of a screech than a song. But no matter, it was adorable either way.

“Fun Fact: Summer has been practicing her high notes during quarantine. Next generation diva in the making! …the dogs are dying!” she poked fun at the following clip of her young daughter’s high-pitched vocals.

Christina Aguilera also took to social media to put out a sweet message for her mother. She thanked her for molding Aguilera into the person she is today.

“Today I’m celebrating my mom and all the mother figures in my life who have empowered me so much over the years to be strong, confident, speak my truth and be comfortable in my own skin.” Above this caption lay a string of black and white images of Christina with her mom, followed by Christina with Max and Summer.

In another update, Aguilera added: “Shout out to all the mamas out there who are wearing 100 different hats each day – homeschooling, working from home, cooking, making art, and holding families together during this tricky time! I also know many of you may have to be away from your families and moms during this time, which is so hard. Thinking of you and sending love.”

She never fails to leave us feeling warm, fuzzy and a tad bit tearful…
