Tis’ the Season to be Good!
Who doesn’t love Christmas? The time for peace on Earth and goodwill to all men… as well as carols, tinsel, mince pies and goodies. If there’s one thing we love more than waking up early on Christmas morning, then it’s the countdown to the big day.
No matter what’s going on in the world, celebrities can always be counted on for feel-good moments. That’s definitely the case during the holiday season, especially when it’s time for some good Christmas cheer!
Here’s a list of charity and goodwill activities that celebrities have done to give back to the society during this festival of love and brotherhood.
THE KARDASHIANS
The Kardashian-Jenner clan often show their support for the less privileged by volunteering at soup kitchens over Christmas and Thanksgiving
ELLIE GOULDING
Pop star Ellie Goulding pledged to spend Christmas Eve serving festive roasts in a homeless shelter in 2014. She is also known to perform benefit gigs raising thousands for homeless charity to spread much needed cheer and companionship during the festive season.
PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE MIDDLETON
Prince William and Princess Kate go above and beyond during the Christmas season and make a slew of appearances at the local organisations involving themselves in arts and crafts at various hospitals and orphanages.
BARACK OBAMA AND MICHELLE OBAMA
The former President made a surprise visit to hospitalised children and their parents in Washington, D.C., in 2018 while his wife, Michelle Obama lifted the spirits of the patients with a Christmas book reading and dance party.
JENNIFER LAWRENCE
JLaw has been offering holiday joy to a children’s hospital in Kentucky for six consecutive years now. She spreads smiles and holiday cheer among patients in the cancer unit and the intensive care unit every year.
