Fresh off his first Academy Award win, Cillian Murphy, the star of ‘Oppenheimer’, is back with a new film. Lionsgate has released the first trailer for ‘Small Things Like These’, a historical drama set to hit theatres on 8th November. Murphy stars alongside Emily Watson, Clare Dunne, Ciarán Hinds, Michelle Fairley, and Mark McKenna in the film, which takes place in 1985. The story follows Bill Furlong (Murphy), a dedicated father who stumbles upon unsettling secrets at a local convent, uncovering dark truths that shake his world.
The trailer hints at a nostalgic 80s and 90s movie vibe, combined with an eerie religious undertone, suggesting a hidden cult might be behind the secrets Bill discovers.
