After sharing a snippet of “Daddy” on Instagram, Coldplay just dropped the full video for this track, from their upcoming album “Everyday Life”. Directed by Asa Lucander and produced by Aardman Animation, “Daddy “is a mellow song with aesthetic visuals, depicting a slipshod relationship between a father and a son.
The British rock band also streamed “Champion of the World” at the same time from Jordan, “a perfect place” to reflect the album’s music and artwork. The anticipated album “Everyday Life” which has one half named “ Sunrise ” and the other named “Sunset,” will be released this Friday, the 22nd.
The band was formed in 1997 comprising- Chris Martin as the lead vocalist, Jonny Buckland as the lead guitarist, bassist Guy Berryman and Will Champion, has now become the best selling British band of the 21st century. Earlier this month, they released three full advanced tracks “Orphans”, “Arabesque” and their title track. The band also performed ‘Orphans’ for the first time on Saturday Night Live hosted by Kristen Stewart and one of the audience members raved: “Coldplay makes me fall in love with life.”
With seven Grammys and eight Brit Awards already in hand, the band is expected to solace their fans with sixteen songs on the album “Everyday Life: Sunrise and Sunset” this Friday.
