Coldplay Teases a Duet With BTS’ Jin Through a Brief Snippet of ‘The Astronaut’

Through a short clip of ‘The Astronaut,’ Coldplay hinted at their upcoming collaboration with BTS’ Jin.

The British band teased their collaboration with BTS member Jin on his upcoming solo debut with the tune ‘The Astronaut’ earlier today on their official Twitter page. The 30-second clip shows a video of the song’s audio file playing an isolated backing track that looks to be Chris Martin of Coldplay harmonising.

“When I’m with you, there is no one else / I get heaven to myself when I’m with you,” Martin is heard singing.

Coldplay and Jin both contributed to the lyrics for ‘The Astronaut’. Thus, the new song will be the second time the K-pop boyband and the British four-piece have collaborated; their first collaboration was on the latter group’s 2021 song ‘My Universe’.

The boyband’s Weverse page had previously received a preview of the physical versions of ‘The Astronaut’ from Big Hit Music. Along with Coldplay members, including Chris Martin, Kygo and Max Martin were listed as co-producers on ‘The Astronaut’ in the teaser for the lyric card that came with the actual album.

In Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 28th October, Coldplay will perform the new song ‘The Astronaut’ with Jin, just hours after it is slated to be released. Additionally, the show will be live-streamed in over 3,500 theatres in over 75 different nations.

Jin will be the first member of BTS to sign up for obligatory military service after finishing his promotional work for ‘The Astronaut’. The boyband’s aspirations to reunite at full power by 2025 were also discussed.
