‘Crime 101’: Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry’s Film Set for Presidents’ Day 2026 Release

Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry’s heist movie, ‘Crime 101,’ gets a big theatre release date.

The film will be released by Amazon MGM Studios on 13th February, starting the extended Presidents’ Day and Valentine’s Day weekend. To become a top Hollywood studio with a worldwide distribution network, this is another step in the company’s drive into the theatre industry.  They intend to release 12 to 16 broad releases a year, including the next ‘James Bond’ movies when they’re due.  (The ‘007’ franchise is now owned by Amazon MGM.)

‘Crime 101’, which was directed by Bart Layton, is based on the same-titled novella by Don Winslow.  Detective Lou Lubesnick is followed as he looks into a string of multimillion-dollar diamond heists carried out by a criminal who adheres to a rigid code known as “Crime 101.”  The distinction between hunter and pursued starts to become hazy as the characters’ destinies converge.

A star-studded cast is joining the thriller, with Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, and Monica Barbaro, among other cast members.

Ben Affleck’s ‘The Accountant 2’ on Amazon MGM launched with a solid $24.5 million over the past weekend.  The success of the movie was probably influenced by Affleck’s long-standing friendship with Sue Kroll, the marketing executive for Amazon Studios.
