Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin Enjoy Malibu Getaway Ahead of Her Solo Cannes Appearance

Days before the actress left for France for the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin were spotted enjoying the weather in Malibu.  Wearing matched casual attire, the couple, who are known for maintaining a low-key relationship, had a laid-back outing close to the shore.

 Martin, 48, stayed modest in a grey T-shirt, navy shorts, and a black baseball cap, while Dakota Johnson, 35, accessorised with a white bikini top, ankle-length leggings, a blue sweater, big sunglasses, and shoes.

 They hadn't been spotted together since January, when they were pictured in Mumbai during Coldplay's sold-out tour, until this infrequent public encounter.  During the band's several performances in Mumbai's D Y Patil Stadium, Dakota Johnson stood by Martin.

Along with his bandmates, manager, and kids, Martin has previously referred to Dakota Johnson as one of the most significant people in his life.  Despite his desire to keep the specifics confidential, he highlighted the importance of romantic love.

 The pair is still together after being romantically connected since 2017 and sparking engagement rumours as early as 2020.  They have been engaged for years and are just enjoying their love without hurrying into marriage, according to a 2024 source.  Despite rumours, Dakota Johnson representative stated in August that they were still blissfully together.

Dakota Johnson made a solo appearance on the Cannes red carpet for the opening of Spike Lee's ‘Highest 2 Lowest’, following their Malibu sighting.  In addition to visiting the festival to promote her recently released feature ‘Splitsville’, which made its Cannes premiere, she is also getting ready for ‘Materialists' June theatrical debut.
