Denzel Washington Confirms Role in Ryan Coogler’s ‘Black Panther 3’
Ryan Coogler, the director of ‘Black Panther 3’, is developing a character for Denzel Washington, who has confirmed his involvement in the upcoming Marvel film. Marvel, which has a reputation for keeping big casting announcements secret, would not have anticipated that Washington would reveal the information so soon. In an interview with ‘Today Show Australia’, he casually brought up the job while promoting Gladiator 2, in which he co-stars with Pedro Pascal and Connie Nielsen.
Washington portrays Macrinus in ‘Gladiator 2’, a former slave who aspires to become the ruler of Rome. When questioned about the demands of working on well-known productions, Washington clarified that his current priorities are important roles and collaborating with renowned filmmakers. By highlighting his interest in taking on new challenges, such as playing Shakespearean parts again and working with renowned directors like Ryan Coogler and Steve McQueen, he alluded to the end of his career.

With its Oscar nomination under Chadwick Boseman’s direction, Washington’s possible part in ‘Black Panther 3’ is an intriguing addition to a franchise that broke down barriers. Letitia Wright’s Shuri played a major part in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, which continued Boseman’s legacy after his death. Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, has stated his intention to preserve the Black Panther narrative for upcoming generations while respecting its comic book and movie origins.
‘Gladiator 2’ is scheduled to open in theatres on 22nd November, but ‘Black Panther 3’ has not yet been given an official release date.
